YARN (The Young Adult Review Network) PR Intern Needed this Fall!

There are two days left to apply for YARN’s PR internship. This is a wonderful opportunity for any one who wants to work for an award winning literary magazine and assist in making its online presence broader.

YARN is looking for a media-savvy intern to do Public Relations starting fall 2012 through spring 2013. YARN is ready to broaden its scope, and we need your help to make sure we’re found by more readers. You’ll be in charge of building and maintaining our lists of contacts, launching social networking campaigns and other outreach projects, writing and sending press releases, as well as developing creative ways to up our FB, Twitter, and Google Analytics numbers.

Experience in media relations would be great, but we’re also open to candidates with thoughtful ideas, strong writing skills, and the wherewithal to carry out independent projects.

This is an unpaid position, but should only take about 5-10 hours/week of your time (some weeks more than others). While your duties will be primarily PR in nature, you will have the opportunity to read, blog, and participate in other editorial projects with the staff.
