A sad observation
I am one of the VERY few librarians of color at this conference. I think I literally only saw three others. As for men, there are more, but only barely. Based solely on my observation and experience, there is still an incredible lack of diversity among school librarians. This was noticeable after I read a VOYA issue about diversity among YA lit and only ONE author in the entire issue (I read it cover to cover) was a person of color.
I want to say more, but the presenters have finished setting up.
